25 Gifts of Christmas: Gift #1
My gift to you is; Unconditional Love
Based on Matthew 1:18 - Now the birth of Jesus Christ is as follows: when his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph . . .

Imagine just for a moment how Joseph must have felt when he was betrothed to Mary and found her to be pregnant. In that moment, he treated her according to his love, not according to her condition. His love for her is a picture of my love for you. Do you think I am disappointed with you? Do you think your condition nullifies my love for you? Not at all. Once you are “betrothed” to me, I see you as my bride; whole, complete, perfect, everything lovely, pure, holy, and right. You and I are betrothed, but there is coming a wedding and to be ready for our wedding you must see yourself as I see you; perfect, complete, totally loved, and accepted. Come to me and fall in love with me, with the unending depth of my love for you.
You are so special to me. You have been on my mind every day since the day I first imagined you eons ago. Believe it! You exist because I imagined you and loved you, even with all your flaws and imperfections. Nothing about you or about your life can cause me to love you any more - or any less. Simply rest in how much I love you. You have nothing to prove. Your betrothal is to a very wealthy man. I have enough love and provisions to overcome every shortcoming and for you to live in abundance every day of your life and for all eternity. Simply come, imagine, and bask in the depths of my love for you.
Is there any flaw in you that is greater than God’s love for you?
